Privacy Policy
This page explains how account and application data are handled within the NewsService educational web application.
Information Collected
NewsService may store an email address when a user registers locally or signs in using Google.
News categories and articles created by authenticated users are also stored in the application database.
How Information Is Used
Account information is used only to authenticate users and control access to Create, Edit, and Delete features.
Anonymous visitors may view public news categories and articles without creating an account.
Google Authentication
When Google Sign-In is used, authentication is handled through Google OAuth. NewsService does not receive or store the user's Google password.
Educational Purpose
NewsService was created as a Georgian College COMP2084 assignment and is intended for demonstration and educational purposes.
